On The Road….Again
Your career here at Dow Jones may include working in an office outside of the USA as an expatriate (also known as an expat) on the US payroll and benefit. With this move overseas, there are some changes to your benefits that you would need to be aware of.
Healthcare coverage: As an expat on the US payroll and benefits, your healthcare coverage will be offered through Aetna International (also known as AGB). When you move overseas, you will receive an email from The Benefits Center prompting you to make your new election. You can log onto www.link2mybenefits.com at any time to view your coverage and make any necessary changes.
Life Insurance: Your life insurance will continue as an expat, however if you are not enrolled in supplemental life insurance it may be something that you want to consider applying for. Coverage is not guaranteed as you would need to apply by providing evidence of good health (called evidence of insurability). You also may want to review your beneficiary online and ensure the proper individual(s) are named.
Commuter transit: If you are participating in the commuter transit program with HealthEquity formerly Wage Works while you are in the US, please note that this program is not available overseas. You will need to log onto www.healthequity.com and shut off any monthly contribution that you are currently enrolled in.
401(k): There would be no changes to your retirement savings plan while you are an expat, however you may want to log onto www.401k.com and review your contribution to ensure it still fits with your lifestyle and future goals. Â You may also want to review your beneficiary online, but know it can be changed at any time.
