Your Healthcare ID Card
It’s always important to be sure you have everything you need before heading off to the doctor. One of the first things the office staff will ask you for is your Aetna ID card. You should have received an ID card in the mail when you enrolled in your healthcare plan to keep in your wallet. If you find yourself without your ID card, there are several ways to get a new ID card.
- Use your smartphone to log onto Aetna’s website www.aetna.com for an electronic version of your ID card. You can view your member ID card on the left-side of the homepage once you log into your secure account.
- Call Aetna and order a new ID card 1-800-338-8047. Typically it takes 7-10 business days for the new ID card to arrive.
And for those who live in New Jersey, all new ID cards that are issued will contain additional cost information such as PCP and Specialty copays, coinsurance amounts, cost for ER visits and hospital stays.
