Understanding and Supporting Your Child’s Mental Health
What’s covered
The social, academic, and extracurricular pressure on so many of our kids today seems like it’s at an all-time high. Some children internalize their stress in ways that can lead to anxiety and depression while others tend to lash out in inappropriate ways. A smaller percentage of our children, because of both known and unknown factors, develop mental health issues that need professional support.
Attend this seminar to learn about:
- Behavior challenges based on your child’s age—what’s typical and what’s not—and what you can do about them
- Signs, symptoms, and treatment for “acting in,” such as depression, anxiety, and eating disorders
- Sign, symptoms and treatment for “acting out,” like oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), Conduct Disorder, Psychotic Disorder, and Bipolar Disorder
- The right professionals who can help your child in and out of school.
