New Jersey State Disability Payments
If you are a NJ benefit eligible employee who is currently out on short-term disability (STD), MetLife manages the NJ state benefit program on behalf of News Corp. While you are entitled to our company sponsored STD benefit, there are also benefits available through the state of NJ. Payments for the NJ state benefit will be issued directly to you, however because you are receiving salary continuance, any NJ disability payments to which you are entitled (Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 12:18-1.8) will need to be reimbursed to your Employer while you are receiving salary continuation. When you receive a payment from MetLife on behalf of the state of NJ, please issue a personal check made payable to your company and mail it, along with any documentation you receive with the check, to:
Dow Jones & Company
Attn: Payroll
PO Box 300
Princeton, NJ 08543-0300
Payments should be mailed to the Dow Jones payroll team within 2 weeks of receiving them from MetLife. If you fail to make remuneration to your Employer, this could impact your paycheck.
