Short-term Disability can provide you income protection in the event you become temporarily disabled due to illness or injury. The benefit is provided to you at no additional cost and can last for up to 26 weeks.
Short Term Disability Overview
While we all strive to be in our best health we recognize that when we are ill, sufficient time for healing and recovery can be a major contributing factor to getting back to our best selves. We offer a Short Term Disability policy for all eligible employees at no cost. This newly simplified policy covers approved disabilities beginning on the fifth consecutive day of absence (first day out if hospitalized overnight) with 100% salary replacement for periods of time based on your tenure with the company, after which we will replace 60% of your earnings for up to a total of 26 weeks.

How to report a disability:
Employees who wish to report an absence should do at their earliest convenience by calling The Benefit Center at 800-220-1716 and select the option for Absence Management.

Employees who return to work and become disabled again for the same illness or injury within 90 days from the date you return , you will immediately resume your period of disability and will not be required to satisfy another disability waiting period.
