Dow Jones IAPE members can be reimbursed up to a maximum of $700 per year for expenses associated with physical fitness beginning in 2023. In previous years, the benefit maxed out at $600 USD. Examples of eligible expenses include:
- Membership at a health club or gym
- Membership at a facility for training in martial arts, yoga, Pilates or other fitness programs
- Exercise programs that charge on a per-session basis
- Personal trainers
- Entry fees for road races and similar competitions
- Court time and league fees for recreational sports such as tennis, baseball and golf
- For 2021 only, home equipment will be an eligible expense for the employee only
Physical Fitness reimbursements are administered by Wage Works and are reimbursed to you via your paycheck. Physical Fitness is considered a taxable benefit to you and you will see tax (or imputed income) deducted from your paycheck at the time that you receive your reimbursement.  For more information about the reimbursement plan, click here.
The annual deadline for submitting reimbursement requests is November 30. Claims are to be submitted by logging onto www.wageworks.com. Any expenses submitted after November 30 will count toward the maximum benefit payable for the next calendar year.
