Business Travel Accident coverage (or BTA) covers you if you are in an accident or die while traveling on company business. You are automatically enrolled on your date of hire and requires no employee contribution, Dow Jones covers the full cost.

The plan covers up to 7x your base salary to a maximum of $2M to be paid out in the event you are injured or pass away while on company business. BTA will also cover the portion of your medical bills that may not be covered by worker’s compensation.

It will provide coverage in the event a medical evacuation is necessary and pay a portion of college tuition for dependents currently in college if you were to die while traveling on company business. The policy also has a provision for day care expenses and spousal retraining allowance in the event of an accident or death.

As with all policies, certain exclusions apply, such as if you are piloting or renting your own aircraft, driving a truck, and actively in military service.
