Direct Support for Caregivers
Are you caring for your aging parent and need help? We have programs to help you.
Through our partnership with Bright Horizons, we offer in-home adult back up care up to 20 days per calendar year for your parent or parent-in-laws. Bright Horizons has a national partnership with care providers, which means care doesn’t need to be provided in your home. Register today at www.careadvantage.com/newscorp (username: NewsCorp; password: backup1) or call 1-877-242-2737.
Wellthy: This program – new to News Corp in 2019 pairs online and app based tools with a care coordinator to help source care resources, coordinate schedules, and keep everyone involved in a person’s care up to speed.
Health Advocate is another program available at your fingertips that can help find resources in caring for your aging parent. The program does not require any sign-up and is available to your extended family, so your parents and parent-in-laws can call with questions on their healthcare coverage or Medicare. Health Advocate could help find transportation for your family member to attend doctor visits, or can find resources in your community (or in your parents community as your parent doesn’t need to live near or with you to use Health Advocate). Log onto www.healthadvocate.com/newscorp or call 1-866-695-8622.
Aetna Resources for Living, our Employee Assistance Program available to you at no cost, also has resources available to you to help with elder care questions surrounding health, finances, legal, nursing homes, Medicare and Medicaid. They also can help give insight on caring for the caregiver (namely you). Resources for Living is available 24/7 by logging onto www.mylifevalues.com (username: Newscorpbenefits; password: benefits) or call 1-855-807-0013.
