Don’t Leave Your Money On The Table
At News Corp we are proud of how many programs we have to help our employees keep financially sound when encountering many different types of out of pocket expenses whether for medical, dental, vision, child care etc. However along with that it can become confusing on how exactly to submit claims and receive funds due to you. Below is a quick reference guide on how to submit claims for each of our programs that have a submission feature.
When it comes to Medical, Dental, Vision and prescription drug – if you use an in-network provider there is not claims submission you need to do. However if you use out of network services you often may have to pay the full amount of the service and then submit that receipt you receive back to receive your percentage of reimbursement after deductibles, plan limits, and reasonable and customary limits have been applied.
Medical, Dental and Vision – Out of Network claims
Whether you have paid your in-network copays and coinsurance, or received back your out of network benefits and it is now clear what your responsibility was you can submit the amount you are out of pocket to either your:
Medical Flexible Spending Account
If your claim was for a catastrophic illness, hospitalization, or an accident, and you signed up for our MetLife voluntary benefits there can be amounts due to you as well. You will want to make sure you have registerd for the MetLife My Benefits site. Once you are registered and logged in you can simply navigate to the voluntary benefit you have a claim for and select “File A Claim Online” from the drop down menu.
For commuting expenses you will generally use your monthly commuting pass or your Health Equity transit card. However if you have elected the “Pay Me Back” parking benefit you would want to submit incurred parking costs.
Parking Benefits – Pay Me Back
If you have a dependent age 13 or less and you have subscribed to the Dependent Care FSA plan you can also submit claims for reimbursement under that account.
And while this one isn’t a reimbursement to you – if you have provided a charitable gift to a registered non-profit you have access to matching gift funds from the company. To access the site look for the ‘News Corp Match’ tile on Okta. Once on the site you can either use the “Find A Cause” link or scroll to the bottom of the page and select “Request A Match”.
If you were traveling and something happened to you, you might be able to submit a claim to our Business Traveler Accident vendor.
